Crafting a story through design

Crafting a story through the clients’ signature color; teal green

  • Palm Springs, California

  • Michael Norpell

Michael and his team were tasked with developing a polished look for the primary bedroom, hallway, guest bath, and the client’s home office, which also had to serve as a guest bedroom. Michael made it a point to highlight the client’s signature color; teal green.

Michael chose teal as the client’s signature color for the primary bedroom. He recommended a peacock green wallpaper with raised gilded starburst accents, creating a mid-century aesthetic. In the hallway, Michael opted for a soft pearlescent commercial wallpaper to showcase the existing art collection. The bathroom featured a Palm Springs vibe with teal palm leaf motifs, a walnut vanity cabinet, and polished chrome fixtures. For the office and guest room, Michael collaborated with a muralist to create a unique black and white wall mural inspired by old Hollywood and Chris's Warner Brothers career. Michael looks forward to bringing more sophistication to the client's home in the next phase of the project.
