From hourly consultations to comprehensive design packages for kitchens, baths, finish selections, furnishings, and construction supervision; every detail is aligned for a seamless process and spaces that feel cohesive, comfortable, and enduring.

Design Packages

  • Our design packages offer a complete roadmap toward building your dream space. The final product is a Construction Bid Set, which allows you to work with your contractor or a contractor we point you toward to get a construction bid and permit set. The level of detail includes existing site and/or structure plan, demo plan, proposed floor plan, cabinetry elevations and plans, finish selections, and finish plan. Once your project is underway, Michael Norpell is available on an as-need basis for construction management to ensure you plan is built to your design specifications.

  • Pricing is based on an agreed scope of work, and the number of hours needed to complete the scope. Price is guaranteed unless the scope of work changes. Contract is billed in three installments: Design Retainer Deposit, Concept Presentation Package, Construction Bid Package. Supplies and expenses are included in the price of the project, while construction materials and product ordered through Wall To Wall are marked up 20%. Construction supervision is billed hourly.

Hourly Consultation

  • Some clients know exactly what they want, but need help being pointed in the right direction. For these clients who are more hands-on, we bill a flat hourly rate. Consultation can focus on any aspect of your home: interior, exterior, one room or space, or the full home.

    Expenses, construction materials, and product are marked up 20%; billing takes place monthly. The therapy, though, is free.

    We can also work with your preferred licensed contractors or vendors.

Pre-Purchase Consultation

  • When looking for your dream home, sometimes it’s a little more work than you might have anticipated. Michael Norpell is happy to walk through any real estate you’re looking at to help you imagine what might be done. Clients often wonder about the return on investment, for which Michael has years of experience considering the cost of the investment and the return on investment. For real-time household comparisons, Michael enjoys collaborating with realtors across Southern California and beyond.

    Pre-Purchase Consultation is billed on a flat hourly rate.
